A map of a sector the user chooses in the previous scene. If the Real Size stars checkbox was unchecked, all stars will have a visual dimension of 1.
Star colors are related to class (for example G stars are yellow colored). All the stars with an unknown class are colored green, by default. When selecting any star, the following information is displayed in the right panel: name, designation (all known catalog numbers) spectrum, temperature, radius, Yerkes class, spectral type, additional info (like specular peculiarities)

A list with all the stars in the selected sector is populated when entering the scene. The list with all the stars with known exoplanets in the current sector can be viewed by selecting the "Stars with planets" radiobutton.
Clicking on a star will show an arrow above it.
Double clicking on a star will set the center of rotation to it. A circle will appear around the new center of rotation.
The "Enter System" button lets you explore a selected star.
The back button takes you to the previous scene, the Orion Arm.
The Hide/Show grid button shows the exact plane that separates the selected sector in half.
